Fridays on the Jeep® Blog, we’re featuring some of our favorite concept vehicles. This week, check out the 2012 Jeep Wrangler Traildozer concept model.
One of the six concept vehicles released at the 2012 Easter Jeep Safari was the Jeep Wrangler Traildozer. Made for taking on the most difficult trails, the Traildozer concept proved to be tough in all the right ways.
The Traildozer began as a Dozer Yellow 2012 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon before it was modified. The vehicle received Mopar® premium front and rear bumpers, rear corner guards, and a Mopar® half-door kit. It also received a 470-horsepower 6.4L HEMI® V-8 engine, to help with the toughest obstacles you encounter when off-roading.
Along with the HEMI® V-8 engine, the Traildozer concept vehicle was also equipped with a Getrag 238 six-speed manual transmission and Dana 44 axles. The axles were equipped with 4:10 gears and electronic locking differentials.
Thirty-seven-inch radials were added to the vehicle, along with an American Expedition Vehicles (AEV) DualSport RS 3.5-inch suspension lift to give drivers an extra boost on the trails.
Inside, the Traildozer featured an AEV “F-1” leather seat trim.
Make sure to keep checking back to the Jeep Blog on Fridays to learn about a different concept vehicle. If there’s one you’d love to see featured, let us know in the comments section below!
