I have two questions… What is the expected time frame for the DVD system? Also, I have seen the horsepower numbers for the v6 Dielsel, I am wondering about the acceleration time from 0-60?

I have priced out the diesel option and the minimun adder for this engine according to the Jeep web site is $7500. $4500 for the engine and $3000 for the luxury Pkg. Can’t have the engine without the luury Pkg.
Looks like Jeep is singleing out only the big buck buyers for this option. Too bad, the rest of us will have to wait till next year!

    • I agree with you Pat, I also want the diesel engine opt without the luxury pkg. Jeep please do not make the diesel engine and luxury items as one package, we like the diesel but not the luxury pkg things

  4. I’d like to communicate with someone about the Grand Cherokee regarding an upcoming Alaska trip this summer. Is there an email or someone that I can contact?

So the wife and I were looking to build our own Jeep Grand Cherokee Overland 2014 on the Jeep website. She LOVES the saddle interior. It has sold her on the vehicle. I want the new 8 speed transmission. A win/win situatiion, right? Wrong. The website is showing me that the saddle interior was NOT carried over on the 2014 vehicle. How sad. Wife wants it and Now it looks like we will keep our toyota highlander longer till we find something better. JEEP PLEASE FIX THIS. I can not believe that this interior color was not popular enough to carry ove on the 2014. PLEASE HELP.

We are waiting for the Jeep Cherokee Limited 2014 information to come out (price/ timeframe of sale). We are trading in our Toyota 4Runner Limited, and it has been a struggle to find a vehicle as good as the 4Runner… I am heartbroken I have to get a new SUV and so far, the only thing I am willing to give it up for, is this new 2014 Jeep Cherokee.. But, I am just as picky as your wife, IF the Cherokee turns out to be too short/small or it doesn’t come with beige or grey leather interior with seat warmers.. I may keep my beautiful toyota a few more years. I need 4×4 and all the new luxury SUVs only come in AWD.. This is the most promising SUV that has the qualities of a luxury SUV with the capabilities of an off road vehicle.

  6. do you know if some of the 2014 new options like front assist camera, etc. could be added to a 2013 Jeep Grand Cherokee Overland summit?

  7. I’m very disappointed in my purchase of a 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited.

Issue: The parking assist beeps constantly and flashes screen in center of dash board and the dealership has not been able to fix it.

On Saturday April 13th, 2013, we purchased a Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited.

On Tuesday April 16th, the parking assist started beeping and flashing erratically in the dash. (Trying to alert to an object behind the car while driving on the highway. We were not in reverse.)

The car was taken to the dealership on April 17th, and returned that same day. They installed the navigation system and said that “should fix it”.

That didn’t fix the issue and the car went back to the dealership on April 22nd and remained there until April 25th.
This time, the dealership took the rear end apart, and replaced sensors in the bumper.

The problem is still continuing, and the car is scheduled to be taken back to the dealership for a third time on April 30th (Tomorrow).

  8. on the new 2014 jeep grand cherokee. is their a reason why the rear doors will not unlock after parked until one of the front doors open. After the the Engine is shut off. Please advise
